Kathy Lynn's Cherokee Books

Remembering the tale that was lost...

Where was I born and raised?  I was born in Lubbock, Texas and  was raised at Petersburg and then moved to Muleshoe, Texas when I was 14.  I have one brother, Terry.  My family farmed, raising cotton, grain and Hereford cows.  I graduated from Muleshoe High School and went to college at Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas.

Where do I live now?  Officially in Bentonville, Arkansas.   Unofficially we live in Port Lavaca, Texas.  We plan on staying on the ocean until the spring of 2009 (unless diesel stays so expensive, then maybe longer!).  We are enjoying the ocean air and beautiful view.

My personal life I travel around the country with with my husband, Joe, and our dog and cat.  Both of our pets are altogether spoiled and rule us completely. As we travel, I do book signings and lectures and we attend pow wows where I love dancing.   We have met so many wonderfule people everywhere we go.

I have one beautiful daughter, Chelsea, who is the inspiration for Annie and Lulu in Water On A Flat Rock.   She and her husband Brian blessed me with my precious grandson, Ben on March 31, 2008.  He is a source of much enjoyment and pride by this new grandma!   I am so excited!

In addition to my dog and cat.  Joe and I sold all of our cows in May of 2008, so we are now out of the cattle business and are just waiting for our farm to sell.

What else can I tell you?  I love to travel and love to read.  I watch the Young and the Restless every day as I have for over 20 years.  I always have my next book bouncing around in my head.  I could go on, but the truth is, my books are hopefully more thrilling than I am.  If you want to know more about me, e-mail me and I'll tell you or I guess I could make something up about myself that’s exciting!  It’s always more fun to make stuff up anyway.
