If you have inherited the genetic trait of hair loss, as a man who experienced the feeling of having a full head of hair, especially if you are proud of how your hair looks and how it makes your appearance look better, to lose it to baldness can be very much depressing.  Not all men grow bald but if you are one of the unlucky ones with the genetic trait, either you accept the condition as fate, or you treat it using finasteride 5mg.  Finasteride 5mg is easily considered as the best treatment for male pattern baldness as finasteride 5mg treats the hair loss condition from within your system.

Aside from being genetic in nature, male pattern baldness needs two other factors to trigger it – age and hormones.  When it comes to age and genetics, there is simply nothing you can do about it.  However, with hormones, we now have the capacity to replicate or even manipulate certain hormones as well as their production.  Finasteride 5mg is very effective in treating androgenic alopecia because it treats hair loss condition at a hormonal level.  Whereas most hair loss treatments try to treat the condition at scalp level only, finasteride 5mg comes as a drug which you ingest to allow it to inhibit a certain enzyme responsible in the production of a hormone that triggers male pattern baldness.

The hormone responsible in making those with the genetic trait bald is dihydrotestosterone.  This hormone basically thins out hair follicles until they are no longer able to support hair growth.  This happens very slowly, in a span of many months to a few years and is manifested only by the visibility of the scalp through hair.  This happens in a pattern-like form, thus male pattern baldness, and occurs normally at the temples and the crown and further progresses inward/outward from there.  Dihydrotestosterone is actually just a byproduct of the enzyme 5α reductase and the hormone testosterone.  Finasteride 5mg functions mainly as a 5α reductase inhibitor which therefore limits the production of dihydrotestosterone.  Without the excessive levels of dihydrotestosterone in the scalp, the thinning out of hair follicles does not occur.  This also means that hair loss does not occur.  This makes finasteride 5mg a real solid treatment for androgenic alopecia.

If you are interested in using finasteride 5mg for your hair loss issue, it is important that you know that the use of finasteride 5mg is a continuous process and is not a one-time treatment only.  Finasteride 5mg requires a dedicated treatment in order for it to work properly.  Keep in mind that you are battling the production of hormones here and that these hormones are continuously produced by your body and using finasteride 5mg on a daily basis only keeps the production of the dihydrotestosterone hormone in check.  This means that if you stop using finasteride 5mg for more than two months, the levels of dihydrotestosterone in your scalp will again be elevated and will begin thinning out the hair follicles that you have saved and managed to grow back new hair.  There is no other better hair loss treatment out there other than finasteride 5mg.
